Getting to Chennai. Please make your air bookings on Simbad. Lawrence Saint-Eloy will be the valideur. We can cover one participant from each UMI, and maybe a few more people: if you plan to have several participants, please let us know as soon as possible, so we can have a global view on the budget.
Getting to CMI. See the CMI website. Note that the hotels listed below all offer airport transfer (pick-up and drop-off).
Visa. It is mandatory (depends on your nationality). For visits under 2 months, e-visas are very convenient. An e-business visa is usually delivered within a few days, the process is entirely on-line. Use this website, there is no reason to go through ‘facilitating services’. You will be asked to upload a copy of your passport, an ID photo (5cm x 5cm, similar to the US format, different from the French format), and a scan of your business card. You will also be asked about ‘the Indian firm’: that would be CMI, see their site for the address; and about a reference in India, send an email to Pascal Weil.
Accommodation. We have made arrangements with several hotels near the CMI, see below. They all include wifi, breakfast, airport transfer (arrival and departure — so you will have to inform them in due time of your flight details), and daily shuttle transfers to the CMI campus. Please make your bookings directly, specifying that this is for a CMI event in order to get the negotiated rates.
